Magazine Adverts - Research

Initial Research Findings :

- The album cover is generally the focus and is the face of the advert

- Some adverts show the album cover in small against an image of the artist

- Album Name/Artist Name/ Release Date = largest parts of the advert in size

- Consistent font styles and colours

- Text colours are in keeping with the main colours of the album/advert

- Some adverts have star (*) ratings or quotes from reviewers

- Reviewers range from magazines to newspapers mainly e.g. NME

- Capital Letters signify the most important pieces of information

- The option to download is made clear depending on how modern the advert is

- Record label logos are regularly small at the bottom of advert (ownership)

- Black and white house style seems simple yet effective
